The Housing Health and Safety Rating System is one of the most comprehensive — and most complex — regulatory frameworks in UK housing. An HHSRS assessment covers 29 hazard categories, from damp and mould to falls on stairs, from electrical hazards to overcrowding. The HHSRS doesn't just identify hazards — it requires assessors to score them.
